About myself.

Thank you for visiting. This is a simple site for people who have an interest in Vintage Bentleys, or as they are often called "W.O.Bentleys". My main interest lies with the six cylinder cars, but as you can see the 3lt and 4½lt models are not completely ignored, and not being too much of a purist, other marques occasionally get a look in.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Wim Kamper and bearing in mind the absence of international borders on the Internet, I am English and live a few miles west of Cambridge in the UK. I bought my first Vintage Bentley some years ago as an investment/restoration project and things just rolled on from there. I am on my fourth full restoration! Having trained as an instrument maker / precision engineer, the mechanical side of things does not hold much trepidation for me and after a bit of research, the specialists such as ash frame makers, white metal workers, trimmers etc etc were soon located (see "Useful contacts").

Although I do not have the time or finances to race any cars I might own at any one time, I have been known to occasionally rally them and regularly tour Europe with friends and family members who also own Vintage Bentleys, everyone should have one!
