Picture of the month.

There we were, an enthusiastic bunch of friends, colleagues, enthusiasts and anyone who had anything to do with the building of "Thunderbolt", on the grass bank over looking the track at Millbrook testing circuit. It was six in the morning and Graham Moss had just set off on his record breaking, one hour run. What a glorious noise! As you probably know by now, he managed to break no less than ten records in that hour! He (and his brother, father and crew) are hoping to go for a twenty four hour speed record some time in the future and I feel sure that when he gets some help from one or other of the tyre companies he will be in the news again. The Meteor engined monster was more or less "ticking over" at Millbrook to achieve 140 miles an hour and for the 24 hour attempt will only be running at approximately 2300 rpm for the 180 mph needed (averaging 170 mph). The spirit of the early adventurers is definitely still alive.......
